Day 0: Arrival in Athens

Day 0: Arrival in Athens

"At least we had time to parade around the Parthenon in our jerseys..."

by Patrick Burns

Miracle #1: We all arrived in Athens with our bikes unbroken!

We had a quick reunion in the airport before squeezing into a van followed by a quick ride to town. We found Costas ready to let us into our ultra cool indoor/outdoor bohemian rental complete with trees and a sliding roof in order to put our bikes together.

At least we had time to parade around the Parthenon in our jerseys, getting odd looks, lots of questions, and sympathetic looks (mostly at Don) before a quick meal and back to the flat to bike faffe and sleep.
