Cycling apparel has evolved dramatically over the last decade. Fabrics have become lighter. Chamois technology has improved. Manufacturing techniques continue to advance. Most importantly, riders are spending more time in the saddle than ever before.

That means expectations change. What felt exceptional five years ago may simply feel good today.

As designers, that’s exciting. Our goal isn’t to redesign products for the sake of launching something new. Our goal is to make every ride a little more comfortable, a little more efficient and a little more enjoyable than the ride before it. The Flyte Bib gave us another opportunity to do exactly that.

One of the most valuable tools in product development isn’t software. It’s conversation.

Every season we hear from riders logging thousands of miles on roads, gravel and indoor trainers. Some are racing at the highest level. Others are chasing personal goals on weekend group rides.

Different riders.
Different terrain.
Different priorities.

Yet certain themes begin to emerge.

Long-distance riders wanted even greater comfort during all-day adventures. Competitive riders wanted a bib that disappeared beneath them during high-intensity efforts. Everyone wanted improved breathability without sacrificing support. Those conversations became our design brief.

Every improvement began with one question: How can we make long rides even more comfortable?

When riders see a new product, it’s easy to notice what’s different. What matters more is why it’s different.

Proven Flyte Fabric

Some things don’t need to change.

The Flyte Bib continues to use the same wind-tunnel-tested performance fabric that riders have trusted for its aerodynamic efficiency, compressive support and exceptional comfort. Rather than replacing a proven material, we focused on refining how it’s used throughout the garment.

The premium Italian fabric is fully dyed—not printed—creating rich, saturated color with no visible fabric grin when stretched. The result is a cleaner, more premium appearance that looks as good after thousands of miles as it does on day one.

A More Integrated Upper

One of the most significant updates isn’t immediately obvious until you put the bib on.

The redesigned upper extends the Flyte fabric seamlessly into the waist and back panel, creating a nearly continuous transition from the legs to the torso. This construction improves overall support while producing a cleaner, more refined fit against the body.

A slightly higher waistband adds additional coverage and stability, helping the bib stay comfortably in place whether you’re climbing out of the saddle or settling into a long day on the bike.

Better Ventilation Where It Matters Most

Long climbs. Hot afternoons. Indoor training. These are the moments when ventilation becomes just as important as aerodynamics.

Laser-cut perforations integrated into the back panel improve airflow exactly where excess heat tends to build, helping riders stay cooler and more comfortable as the intensity increases.

The best bib straps are the ones you never notice.

Custom Airflow™ straps provide excellent stretch, retention and comfort while reducing bulk across the shoulders. Their supportive construction keeps the bib securely in place without creating pressure points—even after hours in the saddle.

Ask experienced cyclists what matters most in a bib short, and the answer is almost always the same.

Sometimes the smartest design decision is leaving something alone.

Certain elements of the Flyte Bib had already earned the trust of riders, so we chose to preserve them. The fit remained performance-oriented.

The overall silhouette stayed clean and modern. The focus remained on creating a bib that performs across training rides, fast group rides, gran fondos and endurance events.

Innovation isn’t about changing everything. It’s about improving the right things.
