The Leadville Trail 100 MTB is one of the most punishing endurance races in the world—104 miles across Colorado’s high-altitude terrain with more than 12,000 feet of climbing. Haley Dumke lined up for her first Leadville as a Grand Prix rider, determined to test herself against the course and the field.

“Whether or not my legs would come around," Haley said, "I knew I had to ride for series points and finishing the race was a must. It was just going to take as long as it had to, and I committed to it.”

Riding through climbs like Columbine and Powerline, Haley pushed on to secure valuable series points and finish strong—soloing the final 30 miles to the line.

“It seems that I have some unfinished business with Leadville," Haley said at the finish. "I’ll let this one fuel the fire and the desire to try again.”
