- base layer
Feel need to chosen a larger size when first try but feel perfect when couple ride.
It was time to replace my existing base layers from Pactimo. I had been using them for about 3 years now
I have had one base layer for a year. Use all the time in cold, cool, warm, hot, dry or wet days. So happy with I bought to more. I’m 5’5” male 145 pounds, say I’m barrel chested, wear size medium. It’s like a second skin. Really like my see though ultra lite rain jacket too!
Great! In hot weather and proper fit (skin tight) cools like a refrigerator while riding.
Way too small. I ordered a M. I am 154lbs 5'7" tall. It was too snug.
This is the 4th Zero-Weight Base Layer I’ve purchased from Pactimo. They are great at wicking sweat from my torso and keeping me cool on summer riders in Florida. After the excellent performance of the first one I quickly ordered 3 more.
I continue to rely on the zero-weight short-sleeve base layer for my indoor training rides (for comfort and cooling) as well as for my early morning summer rides. Layered under a breathable jersey, this base layer functions perfectly to buffer a bit more wind chill in the early morning hours, while still remaining breezy and wicking when the late-morning temps rise.
Overall I like the base layer. At 6'1" and 155 lbs I usually wear a large in Pactimo base layers and jerseys but this one felt very tight and a little short. The XL fits better. As described it's very thin and best with hotter weather.
Extremely lightweight and true to fit. I have been using for indoor riding.
I know this is intended as a "summer" base layer, but in the humid southeast I find it works best for moderate spring/fall days when you need a little something beyond your typical summer race jersey. I skip this layer on warm/hot days.
I immediately returned due to fit. I wear a size small in every other base layer, compression base layer brand I have ever worn. I own quite a bit of gear from Pactimo and it is all top notch. Wanted to add the Pactimo base layers to my collection. Not this piece however. The base layer did not even reach down to my waist, and the neck opening was quite large - almost out to my shoulders. Very awkward fit. Not sure a size medium would solve the fit issues. Couldn't return fast enough.
This base layer is just right for most weather conditions.
I used this on a colder ride just to try it out and I could already tell this helps improve ventilation and I'm excited to try it out when it warms up again!
Very breathable. Great for all temps down to about 50 degrees (F). I prefer the thermal base layer below 50(F). Fits true to size. A bit longer in the torso than the thermal base layer. Also, a wider neck opening which is nice in the hotter temps.
Really like the short sleeve base layer, the sleeves do not stick out your jersey and you don't have to worry about added pressure in the arm pit that some brands sleeveless base layers cause. It is also very lightweight and breathable as the name suggests!
This is my lightest-weight base layer and now one of my go-tos on hot summer days (it took me years to learn the magic of a summer base layer). Sizing is tight for the next to skin feel, but this means the base layer fits nicely under my jersey and doesn't wrinkle. My only complaint is I find this hard to clean, odor seems to be an issue for me :-/
