This ultra-lightweight, super stretchy base layer has been designed to provide a performance form fit and optimal moisture transfer and heat regulation during warm weather rides. The honeycomb structure of the knit not only wicks perspiration away from the skin but it also facilitates air movement between the jersey and base layer which speeds evaporation and cooling. Only 44 grams in a size medium.
Meet THE DESIGNER
I visited Marble and the Crystal Mill last summer while on a mountain bike trip to Carbondale and Aspen. I rode out to the Crystal Mill and walked around the old processing site in the middle of the town where huge Marble blocks still sit as an homage to the history of the town. Marble is known for the “Yule” Marble as it’s known due to the quarry’s proximity to Yule Creek. The marble was discovered in the 1870’s and the town incorporated in 1899 when the quarry began exporting large amounts of marble.
