OVERVIEW: This ultra-endurance bib has been designed with 2 stretch-mesh pockets on the legs for hauling additional cargo and necessities over extreme distances. They are the ideal choice for those who want guaranteed comfort on extreme adventures, all-day rides and self-supported road/gravel races. The 2nd Generation Elastic Interface® Endurance Anatomic Super Air chamois was uniquely designed to Pactimo's strict comfort specifications for a long distance pad. The extremely durable Cerami–K fabric, noted by its unique dotted pattern,  provides uninhibited movement, long distance comfort and heat dissipation during maximum exertion. Lightweight mesh and raw-edge uppers provide excellent support while also ensuring lasting comfort and an accommodating fit for a variety of torso lengths. Single layer, mesh knit leg bands guarantee a slip-free fit while also allowing for moisture movement away from the skin.

Road.cc"Pactimo says the Summit Stratos Range Bibs are designed for 'guaranteed comfort on extreme adventures, all-day rides and self-supported road/gravel races'. That is a bold statement, but these shorts have really impressed me by actually delivering on that promise. They are hands down the most comfortable bib shorts I've tried." Read the review »

THE HIGHLIGHTS:

THE DETAILS:

CLIP&PIT™: With our easy Clip&Pit™ design you can answer the call of nature without having to remove your jersey to pull off bibs straps, which is typically a deterrent to wearing bibs. Just unclip the chest strap and the stretchy construction of the uppers and waist girdle allow you to easily pull the bib down as you bend into the natural position for relieving yourself. Pockets: We developed this bib for extreme gravel racing in Colorado where rider support is not available and the time in the saddle may easily surpass 12 hours. With that in mind, we've included two stretch mesh pockets on the thighs. They can be packed for easy access to food or necessities during your extreme adventure, when not in use they lay completely flat and are hardly noticeable.

Cerami–K Fabric: Constructed with Swiss-milled, ceramic-print fabric that is super lightweight and extremely durable while also offering and even-compression fit for all-day support and heat dissipation.

Ultra-Endurance Chamois: Guaranteed to provide unparalleled comfort for 12+ hour activities, this Stratos Bib includes the 2nd generation Endurance Anatomic Super Air chamois. Our development team worked specifically with the experts at Elastic Interface® to custom-design this updated version of our award-winning 12-hour chamois to make it even better. The new skin-contact fabric is Recycled Eco X-Fifty, which has a textured design to aid in moisture transfer and unparalleled all-day comfort over any terrain.

INSEAM

The following OFF BODY inseam lengths were measured on a garment at rest. They may not exactly reflect the ACTIVE inseam length when the garment is being worn due to the combined effects of the 1) the riders's torso and femur length, 2) stretchiness of the material, and 3) the rider's leg musculature.

Measuring Tips

Chest

Using a soft measuring tape, bring the tape across your back under each arm, around the front. For women, measure the widest point of the bust. For men, measure around the largest part of your chest.

Waist

Bend to one side to find natural indentation in torso. This is your natural waist. Run tape around waistline, keeping tape parallel with floor.

Hip

Stand on a level surface with feet together. Measure around fullest part of hips and bottom (approximately 7" - 9" below waistline), keeping tape parallel with floor.

Favorite long ride shorts

These are my favorite shorts to pull on when heading out for 3+ hours. The pockets are handy for snacks and wrappers.

great bibs

These are very comfortable and light. The pit and clip works well! I haven't tried to put much in the pockets yet but I did try my phone in there and it seemed secure.

Best bibs for Gravel

These are my go to for all my long races. The chamois is top notch, the length is perfect so they don’t ride up, and the pockets are great for easy nutrition access (and wrappers!).

One word - POCKETS

These bibs are brilliant. They seem geared more for gravel, but as a roadie I see much value in the pockets on century rides. And yes, the chamois is completely capable of a long day in the saddle. The only drawback is that the clip and pit is not as effective as on the more Lycra feeling bibs.

Favorite Bibs

These are the best bibs I’ve ever owned. They fit perfectly and have already treated me well on several long days in the saddle. The pockets are very wide but no stars taken off, just an observation. I think they could be more narrow and still have the same benefit. I am 5’6” and about 120lbs, the small was perfect.

Not Overwhelmingly Sold on These

I ended up returning these as I purchased a Summit Stratos 12 hour bib and the range bibs at the same time. I figured if I loved the Summit Stratos then I'd love the cargo version of them. What I can say is that the Summits are good but I wasn't amazed by the construction and features for the price tag of the Ranges so I decided to return them as I had worn the 12 hour bibs to test ride since they were less expensive and if I didn't like them enough I would get a better return shipping the cargo versions back. I can say that the chamois is very nice and the floating construction is nice. Though be warned that if you do use the pit stop functionality, due to the floating chamois, the chamois will not go back to the same spot when you pull the bibs back up. On a century ride I took a pit stop at mile 50, it took 20 miles after of fidgeting and shifting in the saddle for the chamois to get back into the right position for the remaining 30 miles. I also was not impressed with the pockets on the Ranges. just trying them on and putting items in the pockets, the fabric felt like it was going to stretch out quickly and lose elasticity. I have other cargo bibs from other brands that have a more robust elastic. The uppers are super silky, but also leads me to wonder how long they will hold up for. Yes, they disappear on the ride, but they're so thin that when I pull the bibs down for the bathroom I wonder if I am stretching them too much and if they will stretch out soon. These may be right for you, just weren't right for me for the price. I am 5'1, 116lbs and the small fits well.
