OVERVIEW: Our new Apex Short is designed with performance-driven minimalism in mind. Whether you are picking lines through a technical rock garden, screaming through the trees, or taking in all that a singletrack has to offer, you'll want to look good, feel comfortable and be unhindered by your clothing. The contoured shape, lightweight breathability and functional pocketing structure provide the ideal design for all-mountain, XC or Enduro excursions. All-day comfort is ensured by the durable yet silk-like fabrics, sculpted leg openings (that keep the short away from your calf while pedaling), and a simple, but functional closure and retention system.
FABRIC AND CONSTRUCTION: Our new lightweight 4-way stretch body fabric features a ‘move-where-you-move’ unhindered mobility and quick-drying breath-ability. The unique pocketing structure provides you with two standard front-facing hand pockets for use off and on the bike. Two hidden zippered pockets on the right upper thigh and left lower thigh are strategically placed to hold the objects they carry in-place and secure regardless of how high your cadence. They are large enough to even fit most smartphones (if you are so brave). Silk-like fabrics line the waist and leg opening for next-to-skin comfort as you shift, move and pedal down the trail. An offset waistband button closure system and zippered fly offer easy and yet secure access when taking the shorts on and off. The velcro-free hidden elastic retention system allows for simple micro adjustment to fit without the added weight of a belt. We have contoured the back of the leg opening to remove any rubbing against the back of the calf at the apex of the pedal-stroke.
Pair with our Apex MTB bib liner, designed to keep you comfortable over a long day on the trail. The Apex Bib Liner features our Ascent level Cytech E.I.T. Liege Carbonium chamois and unique rear pocketing system that allows you to ditch the hydration pack on 1-3 hour adventures. Add the Apex MTB Short Sleeve or Long Sleeve jersey, developed with same performance-minded, contoured minimalism in mind, and you're ready for a variety of off-road adventures.
"The crew I run with on the mountain bike are not the kind to appreciate the benefit of shaved legs and race kit, but they forgive me when I show up in the Apex. More importantly, though, this short flat out performs. With a comfortable fit that doesn’t get in the way of my saddle on the steep stuff, the Apex Mountain Bike Short is a perfect blend of performance and style. It’s comfortable, breathable, and looks as good on the bike as it does at the post-ride watering hole." - David, Customer Service Manager

Using a soft measuring tape, bring the tape across your back under each arm, around the front. For women, measure the widest point of the bust. For men, measure around the largest part of your chest.
Bend to one side to find natural indentation in torso. This is your natural waist. Run tape around waistline, keeping tape parallel with floor.
Stand on a level surface with feet together. Measure around fullest part of hips and bottom (approximately 7" - 9" below waistline), keeping tape parallel with floor.
