Held annually the Saturday before Thanksgiving, El Tour is a fun adventure ride attracting 9,000 cyclists of all ages and abilities from throughout the United States and Worldwide, consisting of novice, intermediate, advanced, and professional cyclists. El Tour is a Fund Raising Event! In 2014 El Tour raised over $8 million for 40+ nonprofit organizations.

The Ride: Participants can choose from 40, 55, 75, or 104 miles in the main event or the Fun Ride of 5 and 11 miles. There is also a 1/4 mile activity course available. Main event rides show off Tuscon’s beautiful vistas of it’s local mountain ranges – three of which are over 9,000 ft – complete with the backdrop of the majestic Saguaro cactus, icon of the Sonoran Desert. The 40 mile event is mostly flat and has become a great family affair or a perfect first event for event beginners. Two often dry but sandy rivers crossings will greet the 104-mile riders while 75-mile riders experience just one. All routes offer aid stations with water and snacks, police support at intersections, and plenty of morale-boosting volunteers and spectators. The Fun Ride offers easy and scenic routes along the Santa Cruz River multi-use path.

Indoor El Tour: If you can’t be in Tuscon on Ride day or you prefer to stay off the streets, there is always the Indoor El Tour! This is an stationary cycling event – no traffic, no safety hazards, no headwinds, but still loads of fun! Indoor El Tour begins one week prior to the main event and may be ridden anywhere on a stationary bike or on Ride Day at the Finish Line.

Be sure to stop by the Pactimo tent in the expo to meet the team and get some great deals! We look forward to seeing you there!

17th Battlefield to Vermont - B2VT

April 17, 2017

June 10, 2017 will be the 17th annual edition of the B2VT ride (formerly known as the B2B). In 2014 the course was altered to accommodate the new start and finish points but still contained most of the original B2B course (but was even more hilly!). The 2017 B2VT Ride will continue to be one of the most challenging single day rides in New England. By design, it is not for everyone.  This ride is for cyclists who are physically and mentally tough, don’t whine, excel in the face of challenges, know the rules of the road and can ride 130+ miles to the finish safely and without their hands being held. While it is an epic ride, it is not for novice riders nor the faint of heart…

A Smart Investment In Women and Water
A Smart Investment In Women and Water

March 22, 2017

Together with Water.org, we have helped empower smart women like Aisyah through access to safe water.

Aisyah is a wife, a mother, and a farmer. Most critical to all of her roles is time. Asiyah explained, “Time to work my rice fields means more money I can make for my family; our life is better.” As a smart business woman growing one of Indonesia’s most desired crops, Aisyah recognized lack of access to water at home as the main obstacle keeping her from having the time needed to farm.
