GREENWOOD VILLAGE, CO December 1, 2013 – Pactimo, a Denver based provider of premium cycling and triathlon apparel, is excited to announce St. John’s Shelter for Women and Children (St. John’s Shelter) as their December and final 10in10 campaign selection. The 10in10 campaign was designed with the goal of benefitting ten non-profit organizations in 2013. The program commemorates Pactimo’s tenth year of operations, as well as its core mission of having a positive impact on society.
St. John’s Shelter for Women and Children (St. John’s Shelter) empowers homeless women with children to advance from crisis to economic self-sufficiency through job training and placement, career advice and supportive services. Through skills development, their program helps women re-enter and advance in the workforce, with the ability to create their own fixed assets, overcome structural poverty and become positive role models for their children.
“We are honored and excited to be part of Pactimo’s commitment to have a positive impact on society!” said Michele Steeb, CEO, St. John’s Shelter. “We operate with a strong belief that every mother who comes through our door is capable of becoming a productive and contributing member of society and serving as a positive example for their children. Moms who make it through Saint John’s rigorous program have learned and embraced one fundamental understanding – they are choosing to say ‘yes’ to the things that make them stronger and a resounding ‘no’ to the things that bring them down. They know their future is not defined by their past. It is defined by who they are today and effort they are willing to put into their lives going forward. Congratulations to Pactimo as they celebrate their 10 years in business and their continued commitment to make a positive impact in the lives of others.”
“We are truly thrilled to partner with Saint John’s as our final 10in10 charity,” said Pactimo CEO, Frank Kim. “Their program for real change provides mental health services, educational assistance, and on-the-job training to homeless mothers who have had enough and are ready for a new beginning. Sharing in that mission, and engaging community involvement to support their great cause, is what our 10in10 campaign has been all about.”
Pactimo has a history of partnering with charitable causes and has donated over $100,000 in cash donations. During each selected charity’s month, these 10in10 organizations will be highlighted in Pactimo’s extensive customer and industry communication channels. Pactimo will sponsor a matching grant program to encourage cash donations, and its e-commerce site will feature a specifically designed cycling jersey and running tee to raise funds for the organization.
