Over the last 8 months all of High Country Development Team has been very busy having someone racing nearly every weekend. They’ve traveled and raced in over a dozen states including NC, SC, TN, GA, AL, NY, CT, MA, WI, OK, OH, CO, UT, and IN and these dedicated 14 riders have had some very exciting success.
This past weekend HCD finished up with the last race of the Southeast Racing Series in Greenville SC. Throughout this 5 race series they won multiple podium spots and even a few victories! The big victories though came from riders Justin Evans and Miles Hubbard as they took home two out of the three jerseys! These included the KOM and the overall.
In addition to the Southeast Racing Series they competed in some of the biggest races in the country. These include the Tulsa Tough, Winston-Salem Cycling Classic, Tour of Americas Dairyland, and the Presbyterian Hospital Criterium. They also had riders at both Under 23 and Collegiate USAC National Championships. While many of these races contained high caliber elite teams, professional riders, and national champions, the HCD team accumulated an astonishing total of 15 wins, 29 podiums and 63 top 10s.
With all of these great accomplishments, many of their riders earned category upgrades. Both Justin Evans and Miles Hubbard will be moving up to the category 2 ranks, and Zeb King and Matt Moosa earned their category 1 upgrades and will be graduating from HCD and moving onto a larger elite team.
Keep and eye on HCD in 2014. This team is definitely going places!
