Pactimo was recently selected as the cycling clothing partner for Happiness Watts, a lifestyle brand and clothing/accessories company, whose mission is to start a social movement that promotes more balance and enjoyment in active individuals’ lifestyles to give them a key competitive edge.
“I believe that ‘watts’ or power can be derived from things that make us happy,” said site creator Maura Kinsella. “I started the Happiness Watts brand because I would see cyclists, amateur and pro, start dreading the day-to-day training life of being bike riders and I saw the need for a ‘Life is Good’ type of company in the athletic world.”
Kinsella, a professional cyclist on Team Optum, wanted to create a way to encourage cyclists to enjoy the little things that are often avoided because of their dedication to training. “Guilty pleasures can give riders a mental boost,” Kinsella said. “A sweet treat or a glass of wine can actually be beneficial for performance because the psyche is such an important contributor to physical output.”
In addition to the home page, where happy athletes across different sports, walks of life, and regions of the world are able to connect, there’s an Athlete Tracker page where fans can follow their favorite professional cyclists, mountain bikers, and triathletes throughout the pros’ seasons in one easy-to-navigate format.
“Athlete Tracker is a good venue to see the ‘person beyond the pro,’ where a fan will see Nate Brown (Cannondale-Garmin) enjoying a sleeve of Oreos on his training ride or Alison Tetrick (Optum p/b Kelly Benefits) laying out pool-side after a hard race, said Kinsella. “We want to encourage this healthier mentality and balanced extremism for future generations of aspiring athletes.”

Together with Water.org, we have helped empower smart women like Aisyah through access to safe water.
Aisyah is a wife, a mother, and a farmer. Most critical to all of her roles is time. Asiyah explained, “Time to work my rice fields means more money I can make for my family; our life is better.” As a smart business woman growing one of Indonesia’s most desired crops, Aisyah recognized lack of access to water at home as the main obstacle keeping her from having the time needed to farm.
