Bike Rumor: Pactimo Nails the Apex with their First Full Mountain Bike Kit

Offering a full mountain bike clothing system for the first time, Pactimo has come out swinging…

by Zach Overholt / Bike Rumor

“In spite of their success as a custom and off the rack clothing manufacturer for road cycling, Pactimo is still relatively unknown. Especially when it comes to mountain bike clothing. That will probably change once their latest project hits the shelves. Offering a full mountain bike clothing system for the first time, Pactimo has come out swinging with what looks like a great blend of fabrics, fit, and features for your next mountain bike session….

These days, it seems no mountain bike kit is complete without a bib liner that includes a few pockets. For shorter rides, the addition of pockets means you can leave the hydration pack at home, and having the pockets on the liner instead of the short or the jersey means the contents won’t bounce around as much as you’re blazing trail. Pactimo decided on two rear pockets since they felt that three pockets always resulted in whatever was in the middle pocket resting uncomfortably against your spine. Sized to fit a full water bottle, the left pocket also includes a pump strap to keep it from migrating towards your ribs.”

17th Battlefield to Vermont - B2VT

April 17, 2017

June 10, 2017 will be the 17th annual edition of the B2VT ride (formerly known as the B2B). In 2014 the course was altered to accommodate the new start and finish points but still contained most of the original B2B course (but was even more hilly!). The 2017 B2VT Ride will continue to be one of the most challenging single day rides in New England. By design, it is not for everyone.  This ride is for cyclists who are physically and mentally tough, don’t whine, excel in the face of challenges, know the rules of the road and can ride 130+ miles to the finish safely and without their hands being held. While it is an epic ride, it is not for novice riders nor the faint of heart…

A Smart Investment In Women and Water
A Smart Investment In Women and Water

March 22, 2017

Together with Water.org, we have helped empower smart women like Aisyah through access to safe water.

Aisyah is a wife, a mother, and a farmer. Most critical to all of her roles is time. Asiyah explained, “Time to work my rice fields means more money I can make for my family; our life is better.” As a smart business woman growing one of Indonesia’s most desired crops, Aisyah recognized lack of access to water at home as the main obstacle keeping her from having the time needed to farm.
