The purpose of the team is to identify cycling talent from the developing nations of Africa, particularly Lesotho and give those riders an opportunity to cycle on the world’s biggest MTB stages.
The team has a proven record of seeing young riders aspiring to big dreams, developing self-confidence and rising above the poverty and hopelessness that they were born into. Four of the 2014 team members have lost either one or both parents, which is not uncommon in a country with such a high HIV/AIDS rate.

|Phetetso Monese (1984) is a quiet leader and role-model for the younger team members. He is the 2013 national champion in XC Marathon and 2014 national champion in XCO and is the highest ranked black African rider on the UCI rankings. Learn more »|
|Teboho Khantsi (1991) is an exciting road rider, who has taken to MTB in the last year. He has great strength, speed and endurance and his technical skills are improving fast. He is a development rider with World Cycling Centre Africa Learn more »|
|Likeleli Masitise (1993) is an outstanding sportswoman who has only recently taken up cycling seriously. She has won the MTB national championships for the past three years, and has won podium positions in races outside of the country. Learn more »|
Lichaba West (1995) has been a consistent performer in the junior category, unbeaten in junior national championships and ranking well in international MTB competitions. This year he is taking the big step up to under 23 category. Much of his racing is in UK where he studies.

Tseko Shelile (1994) is an exciting young rider. He was the youngest rider to compete the gruelling Lesotho Sky UCI S2 race in 2013 and has set his sights on a great season in 2014.

|Malefetsane Lesofe (1996) is the leading junior rider in Lesotho and is developing at an impressive rate. He has raced at the World MTB Championships, African Championships and Youth Olympic Games and is ready to transfer his experience into results.Learn more »|
|Katleho Manasi (1997) is an exciting first year junior rider. He showed impressed performance during his youth category years and is aiming to demonstrate his ability in the juniors. He is the 2014 National Champion at Junior XC Marathon. Learn more »|

Together with Water.org, we have helped empower smart women like Aisyah through access to safe water.
Aisyah is a wife, a mother, and a farmer. Most critical to all of her roles is time. Asiyah explained, “Time to work my rice fields means more money I can make for my family; our life is better.” As a smart business woman growing one of Indonesia’s most desired crops, Aisyah recognized lack of access to water at home as the main obstacle keeping her from having the time needed to farm.
