Pactimo welcomes Denver artist Olive Moya to the Artist Series™
Continuing the tradition of creating cycling clothing that stands out from the crowd, Pactimo is excited to have mural artist Olive Moya as one of the newest contributing artists.
Showcasing incredibly talented artists from inside and outside the world of cycling, the Pactimo Artist Series offers truly one-of-a-kind cycling gear so you can proclaim your confident individuality. "When I saw Olive's mural as I was commuting on the Cherry Creek bike trail, I knew she would be perfect for the Artist Series," said Ryan White, Pactimo senior product designer. "Her colors are so vibrant, her designs so compelling. I knew they would look so bold on a jersey."
Originally from Southern California, Olive Moya received her BFA from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles before moving to Denver, where she lives and works.
Olive wanted to paint murals since finishing school, but it wasn’t a straight path to do so. She worked in galleries, then as an artist assistant, and as a graphic designer at a bookstore. After moving to Denver she started her own business, screen printing her designs on products like greeting cards, shirts, and tote bags. Eventually, things changed and Olive began to do the work she really wanted, painting murals.
Her work can be found at Lululemon Park Meadows, both Huckleberry Roasters locations, the Cherry Creek Trail, and the Republic Plaza Building to name a few.
The bold graphic colorscapes, defined edges, line-work and movement Moya uses are referential of her background in illustration and lettering. She describes her work as “abstract storytelling” and pairs the soft consoling colors of her childhood with the vivid influence of her early-adulthood in Los Angeles.
