Pactimo welcomes Detroit artist Muideen Ogunmola to the Artist Series™
Continuing the tradition of creating cycling clothing that stands out from the crowd, Pactimo is thrilled to have Muideen Ogunmola, the artist behind BLOCKNATION as one of the newest contributing artists.
Showcasing incredibly talented artists from inside and outside the world of cycling, the Pactimo Artist Series offers truly one-of-a-kind cycling gear so you can proclaim your confident individuality. "I've been a fan of Muideen's for a long time," said Ryan White, Pactimo senior product designer. "I knew from the day I came to Pactimo that Muideen's art would look incredible on jerseys."
Muideen's style explores current subjects like sports and pop culture with visual aesthetics and techniques inspired by African art. His unique line art style is reminiscent of African mark making patterns and pairs it with a bold use of color and unexpected modern design. His colors are bright and high contrast to give a feeling of energy and leave a memorable presence. He aims to incorporate his Nigerian culture and mix it in with his love for comics, sports and modern design.
Muideen currently resides in Boston by way of Detroit, his hometown, where he attended the College For Creative Studies. His favorite artist is Jacob Lawrence and often looks to his Harlem Renaissance style for inspiration on human forms and color theory.
Muideen has had the opportunity to collaborate with many brands to showcase his illustrations and design projects. www.yoblocknation.com
