Fast women wearing fast gear!
Congratulations to the Pinnacle p/b Argon 18 women who won the California State Team Time Trial Championship Saturday, June 1st at the Steve Dunlap TT.
Averaging 26.2 MPH for nearly 17 miles were Amy Thornquist, Sara Clafferty, Juliette Olson and Jennifer Zierke.
The Steve Dunlap Memorial Time Trial is a memorial to Steve Dunlap, an inspirational DBC racer who tragically died in August 1991 from complications with asthma at the young age of 24. The race raises money for the promotion of Junior racing within the Davis Bike Club. The proceeds of this event provide for coaching, equipment, and other expenses to assist local youth in their quest to succeed in cycling.
Pinnacle Women’s Racing (PWR) was founded in 2010 by a group of women in the Central California Valley, with a passion to create a special team of women who are devoted to rising above in all aspects of their lives. Competing, training with vigor, and reaching their greatest potential is at the heart of every PWR team member. Each individual team member has different personal goals they want to attain, but one goal is constant and that is to make PWR one of the strongest, most diverse racing teams in California. The Pinnacle Women’s Racing Team is about camaraderie, sportsmanship, devotion to the community we live in, and dedication to being the best possible athlete and person. On the Pinnacle Women’s Racing team, it’s not just about the finish. It’s about how you run, bike or swim and the very necessary steps you take to get there.
Pactimo is proud to be the custom cycling apparel partner for the Pinnacle p/b Argon 18 team.
The skinsuit the women wore to their victory is the Ascent Skinsuit, designed to provide the ultra aerodynamic fit while combined with innovative technical components. It has literally been built for speed. And, not only will the rider be faster in our suit, but we have the ability to create stunning designs with the single side panel on each side, therefore the suit offers both maximum visibility and ultimate fit.
