GREENWOOD VILLAGE, CO. Jan 30, 2014 – Pactimo, the Colorado-based provider of premium cycling and triathlon apparel, is proud to celebrate the success of their recently completed 10in10 campaign. The core mission of this campaign was to raise funds and awareness for ten incredible and diverse charitable organizations throughout 2013, the company’s tenth year of operation.
“Pactimo has a deep history supporting non-profit programs,” said Pactimo CEO, Frank Kim. “The 10in10 campaign was our way to put an exclamation point on ten years providing amazing gear to customers around the world. It allowed us to say thank you while doing what we feel is incredibly important, giving back to our global community.”
The ten non-profits selected were not only highlighted in Pactimo’s extensive customer and industry communication channels as a means to bring awareness, but the company designed unique cycling jerseys and running tees for each of the 10in10 organizations which were featured on the Pactimo Shop website. Through the sales of 1,350 garments, the company raised $18,030 in donations for the participating organizations.
To maximize their fundraising potential, the company also sponsored a matching grant program to encourage cash donations. Pactimo was proud to present $5,406 in matched funds and other donations to the non-profits.
“Bicycling events are a key element in our prostate cancer awareness program and we are thrilled our supporters and survivors have the opportunity to wear one of Pactimo’s great designs,” said Robert Hess, CEO and Founder of The Prostate Cancer Awareness Project, Pactimo’s August 10in10 Charity. “The jerseys are a gentle reminder to men about the importance of annual prostate cancer testing.”
Global AIDS Interfaith Alliance (GAIA) CEO and President, Todd Schafer said, “We chose to highlight a bicycle ambulance on the jersey design. GAIA works in remote areas of Malawi, and over 80% of the country’s population lives in rural villages far from doctors and nurses. As part of our work, GAIA ensures that villagers are able to access healthcare by providing bicycle ambulances. Riders wear the GAIA jersey.” GAIA was Pactimo’s September 10in10 Charity.
“We are extremely thankful to be involved with Pactimo and the 10in10 campaign,” said Blayne Smith, Executive Director of Team Red White & Blue, Pactimo’s October 10in10 Charity. “It is always great to be associated with organizations that deliver the highest quality products while supporting great causes.”
