If you’re ever in Boulder, Colorado, you’ll want to make a special trip to University Bicycles not only because it’s the oldest bike shop in Boulder, but to see the amazing museum in the rafters.

In the following video University Bicycles Owner, Doug Emerson, takes us on his “nickel tour” of the antique bicycles hanging from the rafters inside the shop. Special guest appearance by cycling legend Andy Hampsten – the only American to win the Giro d’Italia.

Doug opened University Bicycles in March 1985 by securing a small basement location on Pearl Street in Boulder, Colorado where he began to rent and repair anything he could. The business grew rapidly and within eight months was moved to its larger and permanent home at 9th and Pearl. University Bicycles thrives on the philosophy of treating each customer with unrelenting friendliness and strives to fill the community’s cycling needs with honesty and integrity.

Pactimo is proud to be a longstanding friend to University Bicycles.
